The pig production area suitable for the DO, is constituted by the meadows of the provinces of Seville, Cordoba, Huelva, Cadiz and Malaga, as well as the provinces of Cáceres and Badajoz.

The production area is composed of thirty-one municipalities in the province of Huelva, all located in the region of the Sierra.
